ORAN (Algeria)- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Wednesday that a large participation to the legislative elections of May 4 "will undeniably strengthen our patriotism and boost the country's stability."
In an address during a meeting with local authorities and civil society representatives in Oran (432-km west of Algiers), Sellal said "a large participation in the forthcoming legislative elections will undeniably strengthen our patriotism and boost the country's stability."
It will be a "show of awareness and a precious contribution to the development of our nation, to which everybody should adhere seriously and with responsibility."
Sellal cited Oran as a "typical example of good achievements, fulfilment of pledges and respect of commitments."
Prime Minister recalled the "painful moments" the city has gone through.
Oran "had been suffering from drinking water shortage since the colonial era," Sellal says, stressing President of the Republic's commitment to definitively resolve the problem.
"The dream has come true as President Bouteflika is a man of his word, the man who has achieved National Reconciliation and restored stability."
