Prime Minister’s call to go massively to polls reported by national press

ALGIERS- The call launched by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal during his working visit to Oran to go massively to the polls on 4 May 2017, on the occasion of the legislative elections,” to block the promoters of boycott and preachers of despair” was reported by several newspapers on Thursday.

Under the headline “reality and realism,” the newspaper El Moudjahid reports the statements of the Prime Minister who underlined that the promoters of boycott and preachers of despair who foretold all the pains are unable to demoralize the Algerian citizen.

“Le Soir d'Algérie” daily also reported the call of Sellal in Oran when he spoke to the civil society to broach “the importance of a large participation in the next legislative elections which will strengthen nationalism and immunize the stability of the country.”

The newspaper “Horizon” also reported the statements of Prime Minister who underlined that “our strength is in our union, and this is the reason for which our enemies want to divide and spread discord among us.”

“l’Expression” pointed out that “the Prime Minister has ensured that all what could undermine the development and prosperity of Algeria was settled by the Head of State,” reporting also Sellal’s call to go voting.

Arab-speaking daily “El Khabar” also stressed “the need for a large participation” in the elections of May 4, announcing that the imams were instructed to devote a part of their sermon, in the prayer of Friday, to raising the citizens’ awareness on the need to go voting.

“El Watan” newspaper reported the statements of the head of the High Authority of Election Monitoring Abdelwahab Derbal who affirmed that “there is a political willingness to ensure the transparency of the elections.”
