Secretary General of National Liberation Front (FLN) Djamel Ould Abbes underlined that the citizens’ participation in the local elections will contribute to “the enshrinement of the culture of democratic building.”
The head of Tajamaou Amel El Djazair (Taj) Amar Ghoul called on citizens to participate in the polls to choose the best candidates at the level of the People’s Municipal and Provincial Assemblies in order to run the local affairs, insisting on the need for a high contribution for the success of these elections.
For his part, the head of the Algerian Popular Movement Amara Benyounes expressed his hope to reach a higher level of participation in these local elections in order to ensure a legitimacy of the local representatives.
In this regard, the head of the Movement for Society and Peace (MSP) Abdelmadjid Menasra insisted on the importance to “restore trust between the citizens and the representatives through the participation in these elections.”
The head of Talaiou El Houriyat Ali Benflis, whose party participates for the first time in the local elections, emphasized the need for the citizens to exercise their electoral duty while underlining that this constitutional rendezvous is a chance to make a change peacefully.
President of the Algerian National Front (FNA) Moussa Touati called, in Medea where he accomplished his electoral duty, to make sure to “respect the democratic rules and the electors’ choice.”
The Secretary General of the General Union for the Algerian Workers (UGTA) Abdelmadjid Sidi Said affirmed that voting is a democratic and republican duty through which the country will be preserved.
