While presenting the bill on the protection of the private persons in terms of the treatment of the personal data in front of the members of the People’s National, Louh has insisted on the "great" importance of this bill which provides for the creation of national authority, in charge of granting authorizations for the treatment of those data at various bodies.
This authority will be supervised by the President of the Republic and will oversee the organization of the operation. It will be composed of 16 members for a five –year term. Three of them will be designated by the president of the Republic, in addition to three magistrates named by the High Council of Magistracy, members of the Supreme Court and the State Council.
The authority will also include a member of each House of the parliament and a representative of the Ministries of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Justice, Health, Labour, telecommunications, technologies and digital technology.
The creation of this authority is intended to end the "anarchy" marking the treatment and the use of the personal data, said Louh.
