PARIS- Algeria, as a leading mediator in the international mediation team, "is a key player" in the peace process in Mali, said Monday the Quai d'Orsay, underlining the existing dialogue between France and Algeria at all levels on regional issues.

BRUSSELS- The European Union (EU) welcomed Friday the adoption by the United Nations Security Council of a regime of sanctions against those who hinder the implementation of the agreement for peace and reconciliation in Mali, stemmed from Algiers process, saying “ready to support its prompt implantation.”

ALGIERS- Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel affirmed Friday in Algiers that the implementation of Algiers agreement is dependent on the willingness of the signatory parties to implement it, through trust and permanent dialogue, reiterating Algeria’s commitment to accompany the Malian people in their quest to maintain cohesion and sovereignty.

ALGIERS- As part of the periodic consultations between Algeria and France on the state of the progress of the process of the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali, resulting from Algiers Process, and the situation in the Sahel region, Algiers has hosted on Wednesday the second session of bilateral consultations, said the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Abdelaziz Benali Cherif.
