ALGIERS- Minister of Culture Azeddine Mihoubi affirmed Friday, in Algiers, that the enshrinement of the new Amazigh year “Yennayer” as a national holiday by President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika enshrines the national identity which will be strengthened in the future by the creation of the Algerian academy of Tamazight.
PARIS- Yennayer, which marks the new Amazigh year, from now on a national holiday, was celebrated Friday evening at the Algerian Cultural Centre of Paris (CCA) in a festive atmosphere.
TISSEMSILT- The fourth Amazigh cultural week kicked off in Tissemsilt Friday, at the Mouloud Kacem Nait Belkacem Cultural Centre under the slogan “Yennayer throughout Algeria.”

ALGIERS-On the occasion of the celebration of Yennayer, the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA) and Algeria Press Service agency (APS) have co-published a magazine in two versions (digital and paper) on the multiple dimensions of this event based on a research conducted by teacher and writer Djamel Laceb.
