ALGIERS- Algeria is a "strategic partner" for Italy, chiefly with regard to the stability in the Mediterranean basin, said Wednesday in Algiers General Secretary of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Elisabetta Belloni.
ALGIERS-The Algerian people’s communion with their President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is “the logical consequence of the policy implemented for 18 years,” said Wednesday Premier Ahmed Ouyahia, stressing that this policy “restored peace in the country and boosted economic and human development.”

HIISE works impartially for fair elections

SIDI BEL ABBES- President of the High Independent Authority for Election Monitoring (HIISE) Abdelwahab Derbal affirmed Tuesday, in Sidi Bel Abbes, that HIISE is working impartially to ensure fair elections.
ALGIERS – A dangerous wanted terrorist has surrendered Wednesday to the military authorities in Tamanrasset (1970-km south of Algiers), in possession of a Kalashnikov submachine gun and three loaded magazines, said the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.
PARIS- More than two hundred people denounced Tuesday in a rally, in Paris, the State crimes committed by France, requiring a recognition of its responsibility in the massacres and the arbitrary internment of Algerians during the Liberation War.
