ALGIERS- The ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning on Wednesday released the first official communiqué in Berber language, in application of the guidelines of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, which instructed the Government during the last Council of Ministers to "spare no effort to spread the teaching and use of Tamazight, in conformity with the content and spirit of the Constitution."
ADDIS ABABA- The Director General of National Police and chairman of the African Police Cooperation Mechanism (Afripol) Major General Abdelghani Hamel called Tuesday, in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), for “the promotion of cooperation between the African and international police institutions, and for the strengthening of operational capacities of the authorities in charge of enforcing the law in order to carry out the peace and development process in Africa.”

ALGIERS- The Director General of National Police and president of the African Police Cooperation Mechanism (Afripol), Major General Abdelghani Hamel met Monday, in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) with the president of the African Union Commission (AU) Moussa Faki Mohamed and thus, on the sidelines of his participation to the works of the 13th ordinary meeting of African heads of police, said the DGSN in a communiqué.

ALGIERS-Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia on Monday chaired an inter-ministerial Council devoted to reviving the teaching of Tamazight and the drafting of an organic bill on the creation of an Algerian Academy of the Amazigh language, announced the Premier’s office in a communiqué.
