Release of "Un Rêve arrêté," Yacine Loutari’s first novel

CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- Yacine Loutari, a journalist and writer, wrote his first novel "Un Rêve arrêté" (A Broken Dream) which was published by Constantine’s Média-Plus.

The 121-page novel traces the everyday life of Ain Ettine, a little hamlet lost in the shadow of a big city, following the independence where football and the village’s team are the main pastime of the inhabitants eager for life and leisure activities.

Between fiction and real fact, the author narrates the much romanticized life of a young man who died at a young age while his whole village saw in him a future great football player.

The writer told APS that through this novel, he wanted to “pay tribute” to the village of El Eulma (Setif), where he spent his childhood and to perpetuate the memory of a young football player of this city.
