Ikbal photo exhibiton in Paris

PARIS-The photo exhibition Ikbal (Arrivals), which focuses on various aspects of the daily life of Algerians, was inaugurated Tuesday evening at Cité internationale des arts, in the presence of a large number of visitors.
VENICE (Italy) – Algerian director Sofia Djama's feature film "Les Bienheureux" (The Blessed) was awarded the "Best Actress Prize" at the 74th Venice International Film Festival (Italy), which wrapped up on Sunday, local media reported.
MOSCOW-Two Algerian movies, namely "Kindil El Bahr" and "Koceila," have attracted audience at Kazan Muslim film festival in Russia (5-11 September), in which 60 feature films are screened in competition and out of competition, in addition to thousands of amateur movies.
ALGIERS- An oriental music concert in tribute to Lebanese Diva Fairuz has been organized Saturday at the Algiers Boualem-Bessaih Opera.

"Kindil El Bahr" at Quebec City Film Festival

ALGIERS- The short film "Kindil El Bahr" (Medusa, the Jellyfish) by the Algerian-French filmmaker Damien Ounouri will be screened at the 7th Quebec City Film Festival in Canada, to be held from 12 to 23 September.
BUENOS AIRES – Algeria will be the guest of honour of the 7th LatinArab International Film Festival, to be held from 4th to 13th September 2017 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, said the organizers.
SAIDIA (Morocco)- The feature film "Chronique de mon village" (Chronicle from my village) by Algerian director Karim Traidia received the jury prize of the 3rd "Cinema without borders" Festival which wrapped up last Saturday.
ALGIERS- The short film "je te promets" (I promised you) by Algerian director Mohamed Yargui won the first prize at the 2nd Wasit international film festival for short film, organized in the Iraqi city of Al Kut (southeast of the country).
TLEMCEN (Algeria)- The speakers in an national conference on Mouloud Maameri and his contribution during the national liberation war (1954-1962) stressed Saturday, in Tlemcen (540-km west of Algiers), the talents of the seasoned writer and researcher in fighting French colonization and his actions to preserve national unity and Tamazight language.
