ALGIERS- The Regional Theatre of Mascara will represent Algeria avec "Carte Postale" play (Postcard) at the 24th Jordan Theatre Festival in Amman from 13 to 21 November, announced the organizers.
DUBAI- Algerian feature films “Les bienheureux” (The Blessed) by Sofia Djama and "Jusqu'à la fin des temps" (Till the End of Time) by Yasmine Chouikh will take part in the official competition of the 14th Dubai International Film Festival, scheduled from 6 to 13 December in the United Arab Emirates, said the event’s organizers.

Painter Choukri Mesli passes away at 86

ALGIERS- Painter Choukri Mesli, one of the founders of modern painting in Algeria, died Monday in a hospital in Paris at the age of 86, said the Ministry of Culture.
BECHAR (Algeria)- Minister of Culture Azzeddine Mihoubi said Sunday the "State is the guarantor for the protection and preservation of the country's tangible and intangible heritage."
