MOSCOW- The Maghreb culture was honoured at the People’s Friendship University of Russia on the occasion of the Algerian-Tunisian cultural week which wrapped up Saturday evening with an artistic gala livened up by the two countries’ students.
CONSTANTINE- A glowing tribute was paid Thursday evening, at the wrap up of the 10th International Malouf Festival of Constantine, by the local orchestra of malouf to late Mohamed Tahar Fergani (1928-2016) on the occasion of the first anniversary of his death.
AMMAN- The short film “Kindil El Bahr” (Medusa, the Jellyfish) by Algerian-French filmmaker Damian Ounouri will be screened at the 8th KARAMA Human Rights Film Festival which kicked off Tuesday in Amman, in Jordan, with the participation of more than 70 films representing 25 countries.

ALGIERS-The feature movie “Cuba libre” (Cuba free) on the Hispano-Cuban-American war in 1898 was screened Tuesday in Algiers part of the 8th International Film Festival of Algiers (FICA) devoted to committed movies.
CONSTANTINE- The Cirta Malouf Orchestra has inaugurated Monday evening at Mohamed- Tahar -Fergani Regional Theatre of Constantine the 10th International Malouf Festival, dedicated to this Andalusian music.
ALGIERS-Algeria and Serbia on Monday evening celebrated their bilateral relations with "Serenade of Friendship" concert performed by singer Jadranka Jovanovic, her compatriot Oliver Njego of Serbia, and the Algerian tenor of the Andalusian music Noureddine Saoudi.
CONSTANTINE- The regional theatre of Constantine was named Monday after late malouf singer Mohamed Tahar Fergani (1928-2016) by Minister of Culture Azzedine Mihoubi.
 ALGIERS – Two books have been recently published by the High Commission of Tamazight (HCA): The "Grand Dictionary French-Tamazight" of Abdelhafid Idres and a translation of the "Les armes de la liberté" (the weapons of liberty), memoirs of Mohamed Boudaoud, called Si Mansour, member of the National Liberation Army (ALN) are additions to the Berber language book landscape.
ALGIERS-Director Fatima Sissani on Sunday screened her documentary film "Tes cheveux démêlés cachent une guerre de sept ans" (Your untangled hair hides a seven-year war), which focuses on the testimonies of three women activists and fighters of the Algerian cause, particularly the career of Evelyne Safir Lavalette (1927-2014).
