ALGIERS- An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale hit the commune of Beni Haoua, in Chlef (208-km west of Algiers) on Friday at 3:26 pm, said the National Centre of Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics (CRAAG) in a statement.
The epicentre was located 17 kilometres southeast of Beni Haoua, said the statement.
