ANNABA (Algeria)- The overall production in Sider El Hadjar complex of Annaba, which activity resumed last 24 April, is expected to reach late 2017 680,000 tonnes of steel products for sale, announced Tuesday its General Manager El Hadi El Askri.

Industrial production up 1.3% in 2016

ALGIERS- Industrial production in the Algerian public sector increased by 1.3% during 2016 compared to 2015, driven slightly by the sectors of wood and paper processing, building materials and energy, while some fields like iron, steel, mechanical engineering, electric power and electronics industries showed poor performances during the same period of reference, the National Office of Statistics (ONS) told APS.
MEDEA- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Saturday, in Medea, in front of representatives of the civil society and that the new economic growth model is being achieved, saying he is confident that Algeria will be among the emerging economies by 2020, focusing more on the human element, including university graduates.
