PARIS (France)- Algerian national hydrocarbon corporation Sonatrach has worked out a new strategy to adapt to the new environment and meet the challenges ahead, a top executive of the national oil group said Friday.
JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia)- The Joint OPEC-Non-OPEC Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), met Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, agreed to hold its tenth meeting next September in Algiers, the ministry of Energy said in a statement.
ALGIERS- Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni held discussions Thursday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with his Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral resources, Khalid Al-Falih, in the presence of Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the ministry said in a statement.
ALGIERS- The national hydrocarbon group SONATRACH has signed, Thursday in Algiers, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iraq's Ministry of Oil, with the aim to strengthen partnership between the two countries, said the Group in a communiqué.

ALGIERS- The filling rate of dams nationwide reached 66%, 4.5 billion cubic metres, said Thursday in Algiers Minister of Water Resources Hocine Necib.
CHLEF– A special and hazardous waste treatment plant has been inaugurated Thursday by Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy Fatma Zohra Zerouati in the industrial park of Oued Sly, in the province of Chlef (300-km west of Algiers).

ALGIERS- The National Agency of Waste (AND) and the public company Sopte, subsidiary of the group Divindus, signed Wednesday, in Algiers, a partnership agreement with a Canadian consortium (Sherbrooke OEM Ltd) for the execution of a pilot project on the integrated management of household and similar waste with low greenhouse gas emissions.
