Sonatrach, ENI seal partnership deals

ALGIERS- National hydrocarbon company Sonatrach and Italian energy group ENI inked Saturday partnership agreements in hydrocarbons, the national firm said in a statement.
PARIS (France)- Air France will offer, starting from 29 October, a new link connecting Montpellier to Algiers, the company told APS on Friday.

Naguib Sawiris loses case against Algeria

WASHINGTON-Egyptian tycoon of telecommunications Naguib Sawiris has lost arbitration proceedings against the Algerian state, from which he sought USD$ 5bn in damages, according to the verdict of the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
ALGIERS- Algeria's import bill of basic foodstuffs, especially dairy products and meats, went up by over 17% during the first four months of 2017, compared with the same period in 2016, the Algerian Customs' National Centre of Data Processing and Statistics (CNIS) told APS.
