HAVANA - Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf met Wednesday in Havana (Cuba), with Cuban Public Health Minister Roberto Morales Ojeda.
The meeting was attended by Director General of the Pasteur Institute of Algeria and a private health operator and focused on cooperation in the field of health between the two countries.
The health sector takes the lion's share of the Algerian-Cuban cooperation as the "driving force" of bilateral cooperation with several partnership agreements, particularly in ophthalmology.
Boudiaf is accompanying Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, who is paying an official three-day visit to Cuba at the invitation of first deputy chairman of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez.
