ALGIERS – A delegation of the Council of the Nation will partake, on Thursday in Rabat in the meeting of 5+5 dialogue on the fight against terrorism and violent extremism in the Mediterranean, said Wednesday a communiqué of the Upper House of the Parliament.
Organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UfM) in coordination with the Moroccan Parliament, the meeting’s agenda includes several items like "the security approaches for the fight against terrorism and the required reforms to counter violent extremism."
The meeting which will also allow broaching "the role of the educational establishments in the dissemination of the of principles of tolerance and moderation."
The Algerian delegation to the meeting is composed of Tahar Aklil, member of the Council of the Nation, Vice-president of the PA-UfM and Mohamed Zakaria, member of the Council of the Nation and member of the PA-UfM.
Moreover, Azziz Bezzaz, member of the Council of the Nation and the Arab Parliament (AP) will participate in the meeting of the Sub-Committee meeting in charge of the consideration of the financial and administrative systems of the AP, planned on 9 -11 February in Cairo (Egypt).
