Eleven would-be immigrants intercepted off Mostaganem

MOSTAGANEM (Algeria)- The units of the border guards intercepted in the night of Friday to Saturday, off Mostaganem, eleven (11) would-be immigrants, including a minor, said security sources.

These would-be immigrants, who embarked from Cape Ivy beach, in the town of Ben Abdelmalek Ramdane (28-km East of Mostaganem), aboard an engine dinghy were intercepted by the Border guards, 6 miles from this beach.

The eleven people, from Sidi Lakhdar (50-km East of Mostaganem), underwent medical exams before being sent to the National Gendarmerie units to bring them before court.
