CONSTANTINE-Two policemen were injured Sunday evening in a terrorist attack on the 13th urban police station of the province Constantine (400 km east of Algiers) in Bab El Kantara district, the province's police department told APS.
The victims suffer "minor" wounds and have been admitted to the emergency services of Benbadis university hospital to receive necessary healthcare, said the source.
A terrorist attack targeting the 13th urban police station of the province of Constantine was foiled Sunday in the early evening, said the Directorate General of National Police (DGSN)
"A policeman, who was in front of the police station located under in a building with dozens of families, counterattacked vigorously and heroically after several warnings, and precisely targeted the explosive belt worn by a terrorist," stated the source.
A security perimeter has been set up and the public prosecutor's office immediately opened an investigation.
