Fifteen would-be immigrants intercepted off Cape Falcon

ORAN- Fifteen illegal emigrants were intercepted early on Monday 4 miles off Cape Falcon, Ain El Turck, the province of Oran (431-km west of Algiers) by local Coastguards units, said the security body.

The would-be immigrants, including six Algerians and nine African nationals, set sail from Ain El Turck aboard an inflatable boat in a bid to reach the Spanish coasts, said the source.

Three women and two girls, aged 7 years and 5 months, were among the arrested African would-be immigrants, added the source.

The fifteen illegal emigrants have been sent to the National Gendarmerie.
