ORAN-Units of Border guards on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 318kg of cannabis into the country from Morocco at the western border strip, the National Gendarmerie announced Tuesday in Oran.

ALGIERS- A earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was recorded in the night of Wednesday to Thursday in the province of Blida (50-km West of Algiers) said the National Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geo physics (CRAAG) in a communiqué.

ALGIERS- An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale hit the locality of Beni Ilmane in the province of M'sila on Wednesday at 11:05 a.m., said the National Centre for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics (CRAAG) in a statement.
CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- Minister of Public Works and Transport Abdelghani Zaalane said Monday in Constantine that the first section of the Tramway line's extension in Constantine (431-km east of Algiers) will be delivered in 2018.
