Road accidents: 12 killed, 29 injured in 48 hours

ALGIERS- A total of 12 people lost their lives and 29 others injured in 13 road accidents during the last 48 hours in several provinces of the country, said Saturday the units of the Civil Protection in a communiqué.

EL TARF (Algeria)- Minister of Youth and Sports, El Hadi Ould Ali said Sunday from Messida beach, in the commune of Oum Tboul, the province of El Tarf, that summer holiday camps and the leisure programmes in the benefit of youngsters from South and High Plateaus regions have been a "good experience."

66 kilogrammes of cannabis seized in Tlemcen

ALGIERS- Sixty-six kilogrammes of cannabis have been seized Wednesday in Tlemcen (540-km west of Algiers) by a detachment of the People's National Army and National Gendarmerie units in coordination with the Customs, the ministry of National Defence said Thursday in a statement.
ALGIERS- Up to 32000 hectares of forest have been destroyed the eastern and central provinces of the country between June 1st and August 20th, indicated Tuesday in Algiers officials of the sector.
ALGIERS- Over 30 tonnes of cannabis resin was seized in Algeria in the first half of 2017, according to a report by the National Office for the Fight against Drugs and Drug Addiction (ONLDT), which said that the quantities of seized psychotropic substances and drugs have decreased.
