Hajj 2017 successful, says Aissa

MECCA-Minister of Religious Affairs Mohamed Aissa said that hajj (pilgrimage) 2017 season was successful, hailing the huge efforts made by members of the hajj mission despite the difficulties and the high number of hajjis (pilgrims) this year.

12 cases of natural death among Algerian hajjis

MECCA-The Algerian mission of hajj (pilgrimage) has noticed 12 cases of natural death among Algerian hajjis in Mecca until Saturday, the second day of Eid al-Adha, according to a report presented Saturday by the head of Algeria's center of hajjis in Mecca , said Zoheir Boudraa.

MECCA- Algerian hajjis started early morning on Wednesday their trip, aboard buses, to Mount Arafat ahead of the opening of Hajj ritual for the season 2017.

MECCA – Minister of Religious Affairs and Waqfs Mohamed Aissa on Sunday expressed satisfaction with the efforts made by the Algerian mission in Mecca and with the successfully accomplished tasks during the current hajj season. He also called on the members to pursue their duty in the Holy Places, two days before the beginning of Hajj rituals.

ALGIERS- An additional flight has been scheduled for Monday 28 August for late hajjis (pilgrims to the Holy places of Islam) after the intervention of public authorities with the Saudi airline company in Riyadh, said the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in a communiqué.

MEDINA-The first stage of the organization of the hajj for this year has been successful, said the Minister of Religious Affairs Mohamed Aissa following a meeting in Medina, during which he listened to reports drawn up by carious groups of the mission entrusted with organizing the hajj for this year.

ALGIERS-Minister of National Solidarity, the Family and Women's Affairs Ghania Eddalia on Thursday saw off the hajjis (pilgrims) sent by President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika on their departure for the Holy Places of Islam from the international airport Houari Boumediene (Algiers).
