ALGIERS- President of board of directors of the National Road Transport Company (SNTR) Tahar Messaoud Nacer called, Tuesday in Algiers, for the implementation of a national watchdog to stamp out the scourge of road accidents.
Speaking to the national radio, Tahar Messaoud Nacer said that the extent of road accidents requires the implementation of multi-disciplinary institution in charge of suggesting adequate measures to stop this scourge.
Tahar Messaoud Nacer called to rigorously enforce the law, while lamenting the lateness in the implementation of traffic offense record and driving licence record.
“These two records are important tools for the punishment of recidivist reckless drivers,” he added.
Messaoud Nacer also called for the implementation of mobile commissions for the withdrawal of driving licences to rapidly punish the offenders of highway code.
