Olympic Games/ Boxing: Flissi (52 Kg) qualified for quarter finals

|| || ||

RIO DE JANEIRO (Brazil)- Algerian Mohamed Flissi (52 kg) qualified for the quarter finals of the 2016 Olympic Games boxing tournament by winning against Bulgarian Daniel Asenov (3-0) Monday, at the Rio Centro Arena.

The Bronze medalist of the 2015 world Championship in Doha (Qatar) left no chance to his opponent of the day, who was unable to follow the pace set by the Algerian boxer in the three rounds of the fight.

Following the elimination of seven out of eight boxers engaged in the Rio games, the hopes of national boxing rely on Mohamed Flissi, last Algerian competing in this Olympic boxing tournament.

In the quarter finals scheduled for Wednesday (7:45 p.m. Algerian time), Flissi will face Venezuelan Finol Yoel Segundo (19 years old), who beat British Ali Muhammed.
