TUNIS- Algerian disabled athletes snatched 14 medals overall, including 5 gold on Friday, the second day of Tunis International Meeting, part of 2017 World Para Athletics Grand Prix.
On the first day of the tournament, the Algerian athletes won five silver medals and four bronze.
Algeria is temporarily third on the medal table, behind Tunisia (24 gold, 21 silver, 17 bronze) and Morocco (5 gold, 5 silver, 5 bronze).
The tournament, which will wrap up on Saturday, has brought together over 200 disables athletes from eighteen countries.
Tunis International Meeting is a preparatory tournament for the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships, to be held in London (4-23 July).
