ALGIERS- Algeria’s powerlifting team distinguished itself at the World Powerlifting Championships (juniors and seniors/men and women) which wrapped up in Minsk in Belarus, by winning 12 medals (2 gold, 9 silver and 1 bronze) and hitting a world record in the bench press movement by Ilyas Boughalem, said Wednesday the Algerian Federation of Bodybuilding and Powerlifting (FABP).
