ALGIERS- Algeria’s U21 handball team qualified for the second round of the World Handball Championships after their draw against Croatia 24-24 Saturday at Harcha Hacene sports hall of Algiers as part of the 4th day (group D).

LONDON- Each of Algerian athletes Mohamed Fouad Hamoumou (400m/T13), Lynda Hamri (long jump/F12) and Mohammed Berrahal (100m/T51) on Friday won a bronze medal in their respective category, at the 8th World Para Athletics Championships, taking place in London.

LONDON-Algerian athlete Lahouari Bahlaz (F32) won the gold medal in the club throw on the seventh day of the 8th World Para Athletics Championships. Lahouari Bahlaz made a throw of 34.31 meters in the final of the competition before Polish Paralympic champion Macieje Sochal, who reached 33.22 meters.
