AMMAN- Algeria's kickboxing team has raked second at the 9th Arab Kickboxing Championships, which wrapped up Friday in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
GHARDAIA- Algerian Azzedine Lagad, from GS Petroliers won the third stage of the Cycling Tour of Algeria 2017 (TAC-2017) raced Friday, between Ouargla and Ghardaia while Tunisia’s Ali Nouisri kept the leader’s yellow jersey.
AMMAN-The Algerian Kick-boxing team won 3 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals before the last round of the 9th Arab Kick-boxing championship.
ALGIERS- Rabah Madjer, the new coach of the national football team affirmed on Thursday that he intended to work in a "complementary and coherent" manner with his two assistants, former players Meziane Ighil and Djamel Menad. The former FC Porto player replaced Spanish Lucas Alcaraz, sacked over the team's poor performance.
BEJAIA- The first Afro-Mediterranean Powerlifting Championships kicked off Thursday in Bejaia (263-km east of Algiers) with the participation of 105 powerlifters from nine countries, including Algeria.
TUNIS (Tunisia)- Algeria's rowing team won two bronze medals at the international tournament of Tunis, held Wednesday at the lake of Tunis, while Tunisia outclassed their opponents at the event by snatching 16 medals (7 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze).

Madjer new coach of national football team

ALGIERS-Rabah Madjer is the new coach of the national football team, in replacement of Spanish Lucas Alcaraz whose mission ended, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced Wednesday on its website.

BISKRA – The cyclists of the club Groupement sportif des pétroliers (GSP) dominated Monday in Biskra, the road race event which wrapped up the Arab Clubs Championship of Cycling.
ALGIERS- Algerian youth and junior weightlifters (boys and girls) claimed the African title after winning 71 medals overall (51 gold, 15 silver ad 5 bronze) at the African Weightlifting Championships, held in Kampala, Uganda, from 7 to 14 October.
