No AU-EU Summit in Abidjan without SADR

ALGIERS- The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) will be present at the African Union-European Union (AU-EU) Summit, to take place in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire on 29 and 30 November, in the same way as all AU Member States, otherwise there will be no AU-EU Summit, said Wednesday in Algiers Sahrawi Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Salek.

"SADR will participate in the next AU-EU Summit on an equal footing as all AU Member States," Ould Salek stressed in a statement to APS.

"Morocco, in complicity with France, is trying to block the participation of SADR in the forthcoming AU-EU partnership meeting (...) but this would be another failure," he warned.

In this regard, the Sahrawi minister recalled the previous failed attempts of Morocco to exclude the Sahrawi delegation from the Fourth Africa-Arab Summit in Malabo in November 2016, the 29th AU Summit in Addis Ababa in July 2017 and recently from the AU-Japan Summit.
