PARIS- France welcomed Monday the appointment of the Algerian Leila Zerrougui as head of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO).
BRUSSELS (Belgium)- Nearly fifteen programmes amounting to a total of more than 290 Euros have been adopted as part of the “North Africa” section of the European Union emergency trust fund for Africa, created in November 2015 to address the root causes of displaced persons and illegal migration in Africa, announced the European Commission.

CHAHID EL HAFEDH ( Sahrawi refugee camps)- The head of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) Fafa Si Lakhdar Benzerrouki said Saturday, in Chahid El Hafedh (Sahrawi refugee camps), that “the Moroccan occupation in Western Sahara is a violation of all the international human rights laws, customs and charters and all the human principles and ideals.”
BRUSSELS- The Sahrawi Minister delegate for Europe Mohamed Sidati said that he welcomed the invitation of the European executive, expressing his hope that this initiative will be “a first step of a more constructive approach from the Commission” on the conflict in Western Sahara.
BRUSSELS-The Polisario Front has expressed to the European Commission its "deep concern" over the negotiations between the EU and Morocco aiming at include products from the occupied Western Sahara in the trade agreements, without the approval of the Sahrawi people, said Friday Sahrawi Minister Delegate to Europe, Mohamed Sidati.
SHAHID EL HAFEDH (Sahrawi refugee camps)- Sahrawi President and Secretary General of Polisario Front Brahim Ghali has received the delegation of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights, on a working visit to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) since Monday, said the Sahrawi news agency SPS on Wednesday.
ALGIERS- Saharawi Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Salek said Morocco must put an end to its occupation of the territories of an African Union’s member state as it has joined the African institution.
ALGIERS- "The SADR, as a member country of the AU has the right to demand the AU military intervention if Morocco refuses the peaceful solution to Western Sahara conflict and if it rejects the direct negotiations, proposed by UN Special Envoy Horst Kohler," Sahrawi Foreign Minister, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek told a news conference he hosted at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Embassy in Algiers.
